Are you reffering to the ignition wire? When the key is in the on position? If so yes it has a steady 12.6 volts coming off it.

You need to fix the timing on the dist. If its not setup right the car will just crank and spit from the carb.
Got everything done except seperator plate and msd6al setup. Hopefully All goes well this weekend:dance:
LOL. Yeah I got it to fit. Just cut some off the frame where the drain bolt touched it. Fits perfect now. :dancing:

Firing order is 15426478 pre 82 302 and the 5.0 are the same firing order. So mine would be the same order since it's a 79

As mentioned I don't know much about transmissions, but if the teeth on the flywheel is smaller how would the starter work?
On the new transmission I got. The bellhousing is one inch smaller from top to bottom. All the bolts line up fine. My flywheel won't fit inside it.
