You might consider a Mustang 2 or AJE suspension setup if your removing the towers.

Its probably ok if it's closer to 3.5. you might tighten up the box just a bit.
How much Caster is in it? Could be the box is a little loose but Caster helps a lot.
I have no idea other than it's made for three single barrel carbs not three two barrel's. But it would look cool and probably be better...
