I dont get a reading.
F did not give a reading with engine on or off.
F has no reading.
F and S give no reading. A and I have the same 12.38 reading.
I have no access at all to the stator wire. Ti tight to test while mounted.
At the alt battery terminal I have 12.30 something.
Is that the battery connection on the alt?
Engine was off for A. Engine was running for S.
A has 12.38 S has.o1
It is digital. I guess I am asking what goes where? Do I unplug the harness from the volt reg? Is one side have to be touching a battery terminal?
am I just using the red out of the meter and how do I get a reading with it plugged in. I guess it would help if I understood electricity.
I put new screws with the new regulator and engine ground looks clean.

Got the alternator back for the second time Now. I hooked it up to find out I still have the same problem.
Alt is getting rebuilt again today. Hope they get it right the second time around.
