I suppose if you bought media blasting pelts and not actual sand it would be a little easier on the bumpers

You are correct. Sorry for being a little vague, but I believe he is right about some 9" axles housings having a flat spot on the top and bottom...
ya i couldn't find it its like a ghost in the wiring harness, one minute it works great then the next it doesn't work at all, then only one will...

nine inches have rounded center sections and eights are flat on the top & bottom.
I used a 69 mustang tank, works great!(had to do some cutting:evilsmile)
