What did you guys use to line the crossmember up? Obviously side to side I can measure and find the center but forward and back I'm just not sure?
I'd bet it will flow well and sound just fine.
Could a steel gasket be reused if coated with a sealant like the old Indian head stuff? I'm surprised someone doesn't make a mls gasket.

They wrote a test a few years ago in one of the magazines. Big difference between cheap parts store pumps vs good performance belt driven pumps....
I bet drivability and fuel economy is way better than it came from the factory.
You might try an electronic ignition also if you don't already have one.
One thing to consider also that's 40 hp on a 300 hp engine at high rpm. You not going to be running that kind of rpm.
