my 72 mav had the same problem with the electronic mechanism in the steering colum.it clicked into position left and right.the flashers...
yeah new harmonic balancer didnt see any damage or slipping.chain was mounted at TDC accordingly.

ive relaced every part in relation to timing electronicly.new alternator and distributor/points.had problem with car running rough had to keep...
finished distributor had loose wire after closer look.thanks again for your help.car runs like a million bucks.:):):)

yup i replaced the starter solinoid. helpd a noticeable amount. sounds like motor wants to run like its brand new! but having timing problem...
and this is it.ive done all of that.each wire gets spark.replaced everything timing related electric wise with the exception of the starter...

did timing chain.everything was set up correctly.did it over a 1 week period preping and doing everything with percision.new plugs and plug...
