I did not get to work on the Comet this weekend, but I did get something made. Anyone like to guess what it is? Some hints... it is NOT: an air hockey table, an ironing board, a cookie cooling rack, a hamster cage, But it IS: automotive related, something I hope to use soon, something that if it works, would benefit Comet and Maverick owners everywhere!
It is pegboard. You will hang it on the garage wall and hang all kinds of cool tools and such on it! I am planning on putting about 6 times as much as that on my walls. Works for EVERYTHING!!! Except I don't get the legs....
Not a sanding or cleaning table. It IS pegboard... but it is not for mounting tools onto. And the legs hold it up, silly! What else are legs for?
Well, then, if you dump your catbox out on it, and brush your litter across it, all you will have left is the crap on the table. So it is a "Crap Table"!!! So I think I have you figured out.
A few more hints: This is a prototype. If it works, I will make another one out of steel (at-least the top part with the holes in it). Also, the bottom of the 'table' is closed... and there will be a hole in it next week. He is what it looks like under the top:
Good guess! But no. I did not even think of that, now I may need to make two. Another hint: The outer frame on the top of the table is removable, like this:
You got it! Its a vacuum table. I am going to learn how to vacuum form our dash pads. Mine will be the test bed. I have researched it, found how-to's and spoke to people about it. Just like what justdashes.com does, but ofcourse not commercially and with much smaller equipment. I have learned what materials are used and I have found sources for them. Now its a matter of getting a rig up and doing some initial testing. Hopefully the results will be promising. If I get good at, I want to be able to do dashpads for the guys and gals on the forum.
