Can a 300 6 cylinder fit in a Maverick? Anyone have one? Pictures?
Sorry if this has been discussed before, but I couldn't find it on the search.

The 300 is a lot longer and, I believe, taller than the 200-250 inline six-banger. You'll have to do a lot fabrication into the firewall to make it work.

there used to be a race car that had the 300-6 in it. been in a few mags and also some pics on here if i remember right. but it would take a lot of fab work and $$$$$$:)

It's a good truck motor. Don't waste your time installing one in a Maverick. That's what God created the 302 for...

I need to drag up some of my old pics, but there was a drag Mav at the Roundup a couple years ago with a 300 and a 4-speed in it. Pretty cool looking.

There was just talk on the Ford six cylinder board about making 350hp with them, etc. There was a picture of a '65 Mustang with a triple quad sidedraft set-up that was cool. Just curious.
