Can a 300 6 cylinder fit in a Maverick? Anyone have one? Pictures? Sorry if this has been discussed before, but I couldn't find it on the search.
The 300 is a lot longer and, I believe, taller than the 200-250 inline six-banger. You'll have to do a lot fabrication into the firewall to make it work.
there used to be a race car that had the 300-6 in it. been in a few mags and also some pics on here if i remember right. but it would take a lot of fab work and $$$$$$
I'm sure it will if you want it to. I always thought a turbo 300 would be great. Somebody build it please
It's a good truck motor. Don't waste your time installing one in a Maverick. That's what God created the 302 for...
I need to drag up some of my old pics, but there was a drag Mav at the Roundup a couple years ago with a 300 and a 4-speed in it. Pretty cool looking.
it would prolly be tons of work its an awesome truck motor , i have a 300 w/ a 4 spd in my truck , its not weak , but its not fast either lol id like to see it just cause its different
There was just talk on the Ford six cylinder board about making 350hp with them, etc. There was a picture of a '65 Mustang with a triple quad sidedraft set-up that was cool. Just curious.
There are pics on the MCCI Website from the 2004 roundup of the car with a 300 http://www.maverickcometclub.org/2004roundup/P7240048.jpg http://www.maverickcometclub.org/2004roundup/DCP_3899.jpg http://www.maverickcometclub.org/2004roundup/P7240041.jpg
