Anybody ever use one of these hoods from Crites Restoration Products http://tiptopwebsite.com/websites/index2.php?username=colson43&page=6 I saw some mention of their headers on her by not their fiberglass hoods. Just wondering. P.S. I hope they make better hoods then websites....geeez
I guess it's just me...but I really wouldn't want a 71-72 Grabber hood on a 70 model since they never came with them. Personally I like the flat hoods...the rise of the frt looks pretty good. Of course if I had a 71-72 Grabber...I would want the Grabber hood.
Yeah I thought about that for a while. I dont know, i just like them. I am however putting back the grill with no lights, and lights under the bumper. Go figure...
I personaaly don't care for the gabber hood either but, if you want to put one on your car because you like it go for it. you're not building a original car anyways and most people don't know any better, all they want to know is if your car is really a grabber. And to that point if you want to build a clone who cares its not like a grabber was anything but a cosmetic option anyways. JMO.
Well if i want to convince every day people it was a grabber, dont I need to get a V8, bucket seats, and I think disk brakes?
Not to rob your thread but on the site it says 302-351 headers..... is this some cruel joke or has some one tried these on a 351?
I am not sure. I know they make the stuff when you order it, so maybe they have different sizes that they make depending on what you order?
Grabbers were built with 6 cylinders, 4 lug drum brakes ,and Bench seats. Just in case you did`nt know. I was`nt sure if you were just kidding or not,so if you already know this stuff .....never mind. Just an FYI .My car came with a Bench seat, column shift, and of coarse 5 lug Drum brakes. But it is a V-8 car.
I was being sarcastic. But I have been told by "experts" on the street that ALL grabbers had V8s, which I know was wrong.
Those are the only 351W headers that actually work in these cars. The only issue is that there not available all the time. I wish crites made a teardrop hood for ours cars.
