I think he is talking about the ignition module. I am not sure, mine never had it, but I have seen 5.0 mustangs and it had Motorcraft written on it.

Does it look kinda like this?

I'm guessing you're either talking about the voltage regulator or a Duraspark box. If it's the Duraspark box, the dark green wire should go to the negative side of the coil. If it's the voltage regulator, it should be a light green wire with a red stripe, and goes to the ALT light on the cluster to warn you when your alternator stops charging.

where is it located? on the fender near the starter solenoid? I'm pretty sure that's the voltage regulator.

That would be the voltage regulator.

are you talking about that think under the big red wires? That's the voltage regulator for the alt isn't it? Well Bryant told me it was the hyperdrive helium atomizer but . . . :hmmm:

I don't have a green wire...I have a light green with red stripe that goes to the charge indicator light. Mater of fact I do not recall a solid green wire anywhere.

So there should be 3 or 4 wires coming off (I just went over this with Bryant for my alternator upgrade, blame him if I'm wrong or just blame his anyway) . . . green with a stripe goes to the instrument cluster. If you have your ignition on, that wire should read a little less that battery terminal voltage. They are labeled apparently if you look at the little plastic tab (I couldn't find it on mine).
