It looks like it is going to rain for the rest of the summer here in North Georgia. So, I'm tackling some interior pieces. I need to replace one door handle in the blue '73 Maverick. I took a good pair I had here at the house and got 'em looking good enough to go in the car. I cleaned these handles with a solution of ammonia and water. After a gentle scrubbing and air drying, I went over them with some 3M Adhesive, Wax, and Mark remover. I then painted them with Duplicolor vinyl and plastic paint. I did the same procedure for the door panels that are going to go in the orange '77 Maverick. The before and after pictures are below.
Ahhh ... OK ... How about trading for my non-woodgrain panels + I tear up the check you gave me for the intake manifold?
I got those two colors at Advance Auto Parts. However, those type of parts stores have very limited color selections. Go to a auto paint supply house. I'm going to Melvin's Classic ford Parts this Saturday. I am told that they have a very good selection and can match the trim codes.
I'll mull that over. I was actually thinking of painting them white and putting them in my two-tone '73. I'm going to paint that car a dark color - a black, gray, or blue. I thinking of going with a black and white interior. I'm putting those white seats I got from you in that car.
