new stuff, headers in, radiator/fan fitted, need to make top brackets still, oil system primed.
couple stupid questions, is my rotor on the distributor lined up correctly? the engine is on 1 tdc compression as it sits in the pictures, and how do i tell which way the distributor housing supposed to sit?

You can put your distributor cap (which should have a "1" marked on the top) on and see if your rotor is pointing in the general direction of it. Then use a timing light to set the timing.

p.s. you DID do the "finger in the spark plug hole" trick while turning the crank
and let it 'blow your finger off' to find true TDC didn't you? That's always fun. :D

From standing in front of the car, the factory puts #1 in the 1 to 2 o'clock position. Yours is in the 9 o'clock position. You can leave it there if you want and run the plug wires in the firing order(counter clockwise). I always leave mine in the factory order as the stock replacement caps have a "1" molded in the cap.
