Please check out the sound clips at the bottom and tell me if they work. When I click on them Quicktime wants to run them and I hear nothing, but they are mp3 and should download and run in Windows Media Player.

    http://home.cmaaccess.com/~scodon/jpgs/44insidemp3.mp3

    http://home.cmaaccess.com/~scodon/jpgs/44outsidemp3.mp3

Edit-- I had to reset my internet settings to open with Media Player, Quicktime had set itself as default, and would not let it play. So, feel free to download and open with Media Player, and that should work.

I got them at O'Reilly, but you can get them anywhere you buy Flowmasters...

O'Reilly's was cheaper...$78 each. Summit and JEGS had about $85, but then you have to pay the handling fee of $10.

Only took 24 hours to deliver.

Cam is actually VERY road-friendly. It is the equivalent of an Edelbrock Performer Plus. Not even an RPM or anything. But I have 1.7 roller rockers on there, and plenty of lope. Idles at 450 if I want it to...:D

Sounds real good! Heard the fuel pump,,,where did you have the mic at? Outside (second) was the best hearing! I did like the play by play action you gave,,, just didn't hear much "snarling"

    I like the sound!

Outside was placed about 3 feet from the door on the ground. Then I reached out and brought it into the car with windows closed.

Keep in mind, this is one of those old square cassette recorders, converted to mp3. It really does sound better in real life.

I don't have the rear kickpanels installed so the fuel pump is REALLY loud right now (installed on inside of fender near tank).

Sounds good Scooper! The fuel pump would drive me nuts though! LOL I used to run dual holley blue's on my Mustang and the only way it was bareable was with open headers!

I have the same cam in my Comet. Next step is to upgrade the heads. What headers are you running with the Ps?

"I can still hear the fuel pump more then the mufflers..."

    Yea, so can we. :D

Sounds awesome though! I've been trying to figgure out what mufflers to put on the Fiat to replace the crappy glass packs. Think I know now. (y)

Headers are regular Hooker 6901s. They hook right up to the P heads, but I made a spacer out of a spare header flange to help clear the spark plugs.

Currently, the mufflers are stuck right onto the header collector reducer. Not welded or anything, just stuck on and hanging by their own weight.

I will have it all hung and installed in week or so. It will sound a little different with 24" or so of straight pipe between the headers and the muffler, but I doubt it will change too much.

Part # 942546...2-1/2" in and out, offset inlet, centered outlet. Flowmaster Super 44. They are probably the same as the Super 40s except only 4" thick rather than the 5" super 40s.

Scott the sound will change alot once you get some pipe in there.I did the same except welded the mufflers onto the reucers to get the car to the exhaust shop.Mine sounded completely different one the pipes were on.You will have to give us some more sound clips once it's finished.
