Mav/Com Mini-Meet Ms. Gulf Coast (CruisinTheCoast) 10/06/07

Okay guys, this is my official announcement!!!

I am going to have a Maverick/Comet Meet in conjunction with Cruising-The-Coast (expecting over 5000 cars) the first week of October, 2007. This could likely be the best ever Mini-Meet you have ever attended if you like cars...which I know you do.
I will set aside one day of this major event for my Meet but anyone that wants can come sooner and enjoy more of this fantastic week. The official Meet will be Saturday, October 6th, 2007.
If you wanted to come in Wednesday night I can offer you a free Blake Shelton Concert. Thursday there will be a large Classic Car Auction and a huge Swap Meet. Friday there will be Drag Racing at Gulfport Dragway. Dennis Gage will also be in town filming for My Classic Car.

The CTC venue for Saturday (MEET DAY) will be as follows:

9 to 6 Automotive Swap Meet, Mississippi Coast Coliseum - Biloxi
Classic Car Auction at Treasure Bay
8 - 10 am Doors open / Vehicle check-in
10 am Auction begins
Drag Racing at Gulfport - Gate opens at 6 pm
Dennis Gage will be filming for My Classic Car - TV

7 A.M. to 5 P.M. - Jackson Avenue Cruise - Pascagoula

Of course, in order to park with all the Cruisin The Coast cars (in most cases) you have to be registered. I will be registered because I will be there all week. This is a vacation for me. There will be tons of unregistered cars there also so registering ($75.00) is not an absolute necessity.

My Plan for Saturday (may change if needed): I would like for everyone attending to be at my house (plenty of room for people and cars) early Saturday morning between 8-9 am. We can leave by 9 am cruising towards Pascagoula (20 miles) where we will make a stop for the 1st leg of our CTC show. We should at that time start seeing lots of cars that would also be cruising the coast along with us. We would probably leave Pascagoula after an hour or so and head to Ocean Springs which is one of my favorite places to go for this event. This is where it might get a bit tricky. Only registered cars can cruise thru town so we may have to park and do a bit of walking which is fine because even if you park inside you gotta get out and walk to see the cars. I may be able to get around this. By the time we get thru here, it'll be about time to grab a bite of lunch. There are plenty of places to eat in Ocean Springs so we can decide then. After we leave there we will head over to Biloxi. We can do a number of things, any of which we can decide on then. Check out the complete CTC Schedule and if you see something you like, let me know. We can cruise on over to Gulfport and maybe even catch up with Dennis Gage for an autograph or something. There are so many possibilities here...just who knows? I've been doing this for several years now so if you guys see something you want to do, just let me know. There are Casinos galore for anyone wanting to do a little gambling too. Biloxi and Gulfport is the best place to be cruising for night time so I'd really like for everyone to plan on staying for the night. There's nothing like cruising the boulevard with 5000 other vintage cars or just sitting in a group on the side of the highway watching them go by. There are usually good spots to sit at and watch the brave ones do their burnouts. It's not allowed but it always happens.

I didn't see any motels on that list from Grand Bay Alabama so I'll see what I can find if anyone wants to stay close to my house. If you have to stay at any of the places listed it would be out of your way to meet at my house because we would be going back in that direction so we may have to meet up with you on the way but that would kinda screw up our cruise. Oh well...throw me some ideas. Please, lets do this quickly because these rooms will likely fill up very quick. PM me for my cell if you need to call me.​

 

Okay guys...I need some sign-ups!!! Who all is coming? If we meet up at my house we'll start out with 10 Mavericks before any of you guys even get there!

 

Still planning on being there. Prob wont be meeting at your house as I am already going to be at the show. We may just meet you in Pascagoula for breakfast or Ocean Springs. I currently dont plan on registering my car for the show but I might change my mind later.

I love this show and have been 3 times already. Hopefully the weather will be nice this year. 2 of my previous trips were rain soaked ones.

hey ray,is the montana resturant is still open (hope i spelled that right) in bilxo. a friend of my said it was the best all you can eat.

 

It's actually in Gulfport and I'm not 100% sure since Katrina. I'll have to check into it. It definitely is awesome though. It's been about 5 years since I've been there. Bout time to go again.

 

Anything new on this? We are getting into town on Thursday and will be staying at the Isle of Capri in Biloxi?
