I believe the rear trim ones are all the same. The front ones use different(larger?)clips for the trim at the cowl(base of windshield)The rest are all yellow ones(rear as well)I may be mistaken so dont quote me on this .If I remeber correctly thats how they were on my 72.I havent put it back together yet and its been a while.Hope this helps you some.Pete.
Ok, thanks! I guess it's off to my favorite fastener/junk/oddity store tomorrow to be raked over the coals with their "off the top of their head" pricing.
according to my 1975 Ford Shop Manual Vol. 4 Body the front uses retainer 03174 and retainer 42413 around the rear glass. Let me know if you want a scan of the mounting pattern diagrams.
Maybe it will help clear any incorrect thoughts of how they should be...? I for one would like to see it. Also, is there any instructions on how to do any of it? What does the manual say/show anyway? Thanks...
OOps I meant the yellow clips and the brown clips for pennies. The two part numbers listed . .... ten thumbs
here are the pages referencing the front and rear glass removal install and part #'s. My first time posting images so fingers crossed this works out. I hope the text is still legible.
if you right click on the full size images and save to your computer and then try enlarging them with your photo editor it might help. I had to shrink them down to get them to post so they lost a lot of detail. If you want shoot me a note and I'll e-mail them to you.
I compared all the clips I took off my car, all 36 were exactly the same, so I would think that my car had the same front and rear. I replaced them with the closed ones I could find, and the trim is nice and tight!!
I always save the yellow ones. I just got a bag of 25 NOS yellow ones off ebay for $7.99. My 71 had all yellow ones on both windows which I just recently took out. Dan
FYI ... you can still buy them brand new .... Au-ve-co Part# 10625 Ford Part # D0DZ-6203174-C I paid about $7 for a box of 50 at the local autobody supply store ...
