alright, i'm working on my 1976 maverick and i've been thinking long and hard about the stance of it. should i raise the front and rear about 3 or 4 inches for the gasser look or should i keep it at the original height?
yeah, i'm not sure. i'm thinking long and hard about it. but i'll post some pics of my maverick. the tires are pretty big for the way it's sitting right now.
Show pics of what it looks like now... Has anyone done a straight front axle gasser maverick with headers exiting out the fender? That might be pretty cool... Might have to photoshop one up...
OK, I tried to photoshop it but just don't know how to use the program well enough. But found this...
get a set of those old drag shocks, the ones that let the front end come way up then keep it up. it will still sit down but you can bring that front end up when you gas it..... JC Whitney sells them, or at least they did but i dont think they ever change that catalog.
The 'gasser' era was way before Mavericks I think. Also, as has been mentioned - solid front axle. If you want the raised front look, do it naturally. I personally really like the look of this Maverick, nice subtle rake.
