I had a set of those....and I am pretty sure they were glass. I never used them. Email me....I'll sell 'em if I still have 'em.

    Gene,

Thanks for the link. Those look really nice. I was looking at these

But they way too expensive! If you get them let us know how they work. They seem like a good deal. Hopefully someone else has used them and will chime in.

The big difference from the cheapie ones to the expensive is the reflector design. The pricey Hella kit is worth the money for the amount of research put into the design. The cheapies dont offer the same type of light pattern. It makes a huge difference. Mind you anything is better than the stock lamps. Also the blue tintied bulbs are illegal up here. Any blue tint fails a safety. I like a good headlamp after being spoiled by the HID lamps in my 300. I'll go with a higher end kit for the Mav. eventually. Dont waste your money on aftermarket HID set ups. The reflectors are crap and also illegal up here. HID lamps have a defined cut off point to the beam or they would blind on coming cars. The kits dont have this and its dangerous. My 2 cents.

while rummaging around my uncles shop i found a pair of Harley Davidson tri bars . any ways with the regular bulbs they work great opposed to the sealed beam.

I am looking at the 4-5 3/4" headlight kit for my Ranchero! I am putting a set of Sylvania Silverstars in my Maverick! I have them in my Z car and my Samauri, they are brighter than the stock replacement, not bad for $40.00!
