turbo is nice and all...heck, I'm trying to build one. But if you are really trying to make a sleeper, you gotta be able to pop the hood....And you can't do that w/ a turbo...
Nitrous, 2lb bottle in the dash for the 2nd stage, 10lb in the trunk inside a old tool box, solenoids inside the aircleaner or inside the firewall under the dash...

    lol

If you do it, do it without the nitrous. JMO Nitrous is like cheating to me. Do it with all motor- 351 based stroker- 408 or 427 ci end product, heck you can bore and stroke a 351 to a 460 now. All motor, aluminum heads (painted blue) and then go for the usual hi-po build. You can use a small-ish hyd. roller cam and forged internals and build the thing to rev to 7000 or so. It can be done straight motor, but as mentioned- $$$$$$$$$ is required. If you have 427 or 460 stroked ci to start with, then 5-600 horses is not unreasonable. If you want to do a TRUE sleeper, then all motor is the way to go. Again, JMO I just ain't a fan of nitrous.......But that's just me. Good Luck!! Preston

I kinda agree with Country Mav.....All THROTTLE and NO BOTTLE.......The idea from M.A.V. is very inspiring(as was quoted)and definetly sneaky....(y)

Me either, but for certain applications it is impressive. And damn expensive to fill the bottles for racing four or five rounds. All depends on the set-up and purpose of the car. Friend of mine with a bad Mustang on 10.5 tires, runs low five's in 1/8th at 142mph with it. He only has about 40K in the whole car and has blown two or three engines and also rolled the first car a dozen times(no real fault of the nos) sure is a show stopper though and impressive to watch. Usually only runs it at the big dollar races and has won many of them. JMO too.

Nitrous is like a hot girl with AIDS. You know you want to hit it, but you're afraid of the consequences.....

    My '75 4dr weighed 3350 with me in it(no p/s or a/c).Ran mid 12's w/a basically stock 5.0,3500 stall,3.55's and a 150hp nitrous shot.To run 10's in a 4dr street car you'll need about 500-600 hp and be able to hook it.
