Once we finish our riverboat cruise we have free time in Hannibal, MO’s famous downtown for sightseeing, museums and shops. Lunch is at everyone’s discretion, many local taverns and eateries, along with the Mark Twain Dinette for the entire family. We can leave cars at the riverfront and walk 3 blocks to downtown, or plenty of municipal parking downtown.

After the cave we can all find lunch on our own.

2:00 PM. We meet in the host hotel parking lot and drive across the Mississippi river to the largest stone arch bridge span in Illinois. We will park on gravel and drive on gravel for a short 100'. Roundtrip is no more than 20 miles. Once there we can have a leisure time admiring the beautiful stream and the awesome stone structure bridge. Sorry we can't drive the cars on the bridge. Some changes have been made to above schedule.

Due to economic conditions, the MCCI has been given the news of the closure of Sawyers Creek, (Flood during last year, rains all season this year, current recession, etc.). So.....We have a change of plans after the Mark Twain Cave tour. Please note above addition to the Family Day Cruise on Friday.

What would really be cool is that, if you just keep changing the year, you can get some serious mileage out of that silk screen :dancing:
