Is there really any difference in these bulbs?

My radio has a 1893, but my heater control illumination bulb is currently a 1892.

    Yup, bases are all same.

Of course mostly these were replaced by wedge based #161, 194, etc., was already happening in the printed circuit clusters.

I’ve since noticed the correct bulb for the heat control illumination light was supposed to be a 1445 rated as 0.135 A and 0.7 CP. There was an 1892 bulb in its place. No big difference. :)

For what it’s worth I now have all the bulbs to replace everything inside the dash. I have an 1893 for the radio, 1445’s for the heater control illumination, ash tray light, (which I have to check), and auto transmission quadrant, an 1816 for the headlight / wiper control, and glovebox light ( another one I have to confirm). I also have 10 LED’s for the the speedometer cluster.
