I'm looking to get some 18x8 rims the have a 20mm offset. Would they fit the front and back or would I need to buy some spacers? Also what is the maximum amount of backspacing you can have on these cars, cause some people say 4" others say it's 4.5".

Mavericks are not "mm" cars, They use SAE measurements (inches), so I don't know why you're thinking about offsets. You need to know the back-spacing. 4" to 4-1/4" is a good back-spacing for Mavericks/Comets.

Yes I know but if the wheels 8 inches wide and has a positive offset of 20mm that's 5.29" of backspacing. I just wanted to make sure before I make a purchase

Well if they have a 5.29" backspacing, you're gonna need at least 1-inch spacers.

I think wheels with the correct back-spacing are your friends.
