Hey there! So as my title says, I just turned 18 back in October, and I bought my grandfathers old comet that he had since '82. He passed about 10years ago & so I bought the car & am in the process of getting it back on the road! If there's one thing I've learned so far, it's patience & that there's not a wide variety of parts out there for the old girl! It ya'll have ANY suggestions on what website to go to for parts or ANYTHING, please let me know! Currently trying to find some window regulators but just can't find them. Thanks!

Wow, that's a nice car. It's cool to see a young person take interest in a car from that era. Most guys your age are into the "tuner" thing.

    :Welcome: from central VA!

My late grandfather also had a Grabber Blue '71 Comet GT back in the day. That is when I first started taking a liking to the Comets and Mavericks!

    Nice looking car!

Thanks for the welcome ya'll! Mechanically, I believe this car is a 7 or 8. My Grandfather apparently bored over the engine & put a cam in it (the specs, I have no clue). I know that it was originally an automatic and that he put a "rare" 4speed manual with a hurst shifter. When idiling, this beast sounds like it should be on the track! I sure do appreciate the welcome & tips from ya'll! Just really need to get it inspected, then run it. Installing a 3 core radiator on er tomorrow. Interior will be the summer project as its age is showing (rips, tears, etc.) Right now, I'm saving to do the front drum-to-disc conversion in the spring. Thanks again!
