Hey guys just looking to get some helpful info on my maverick build. I'm building up my 1970 maverick. Starting out I'm doing a v8 swap putting a blueprint 347 stroker motor doing a rack n pinion power steering and updating front end with disc brakes and 5 lug spindles. Got a 10 point roll cage to put in tci street fighter trans..haven't decided on trans 100% but leaning that way.. got a Franklin quick change rear end full posi trac. 12 gal race fuel tank. I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to tub it out for tires and rear end to fit.. just looking for any info on anything on this type of build would be greatly appreciated. Especially the back half fabrication. I'm doing this all by myself with a help from few friends.

Go big, since your doing the front rack I would suggest you start with a 351w based engine.

If you havent got the engine all ready you would be better off going with a stroked 351 doesnt cost much more if any to build and car would be lots quicker or if you are not a purist an LS motor will give you lots of bang for the buck since you changed out the front end the sky is the limit.

Sounds like a fun build with a clean slate to start with

I agree with the 351w based build. can make same power as 302 based engine more reliably and with less wear and tear on engine.
