Did you use this through the top of the strut tower?

Yes you drop it in from the top of the spring and then place it inside. I have seen some people tighten it from the top and others from inside the spring. Either way works. You will love the roller perches.

I'm guessing once they are compressed then you can remove them. I'm trying to decide if I should go ahead and buy new springs as mine have the deals in them to space them out now. I believe 2 of them

Get new, spacers are a bandaid that does the springs no good.

My view is if you are already putting in all this money and work why skimp on one of the most important things... do it right or you will have to do it again.

Who would be a reliable vendor to get them from? I read a review on MOOG site and they were not very happy with theirs at all.
I'm not looking for a lowered look or want it lowered. I eventually will put a v8 in it so should go ahead and plan for that now.

Is there a difference in the springs from 70-77 other than the strength of the spring for different body style, engine, and accessories. As long as the spring will still mount correctly, I should be able to get a spring for a 72 with a v8 and be good.

A lot of people go with the moog 6 cylinder spring because it has a nice ride height with the V8. Just remember as with ANY spring you may have to cut it a bit to get your preferred ride height.

There is a thread on here some where with a list of shocks but go with the KYB mono shocks. I have had them on my car for 4 years now since the front suspension rebuild and I love them. Mine is a daily driver and they handle fantastic.

I read that the kg5447 work well but one guy used some of the old shock rubber and sleeve to make them work. Also read that the rear shocks for the 85 Nissan truck are a direct fit

I believe the rear ones I am using came off the Nissan truck also but then again I bought them 4 years ago.

If you are interested, I have some V8 springs from a 75 Maverick AC car.
