If you use this make sure you don't add to much pressure to remove the paint. Let the disc do the work and don't let the area your working on get too hot. My neighbor tried this and it left him with a badly warped trunk lid.

    Hello 7D2 :
Like your gauge setup . I went with Autometer also in my Comet but I wanted the 5" inch diameter units. We closed off the panel for Heater/Defroster controls and the ash-tray area and placed gauges in panels beneath the dash. The unit with the rocker switches are for Electric Fan Overide ( in case I want to cool off the engine while sitting idle)
Sport Grille Lights , Electric door locks and Aux. Lights. The "round" knobs are the controls for the AC unit. Gauges
below are grouped as Oil Pressure / Oil Temperature , Water , Amps, Vacuum and fuel . I'm placing a "build" panel on my website later if anyone is interested. Glad to see another COMET owner in the mix .. Nice looking Ride !

Nice setup, mines similar. I used cups instead of a panel.

Got rid of the antenna hole. I'm all done with the patch work. Now I'll take the fenders, doors off and hit them 80 grit then with epoxy.

Final blocking should be done in the next couple of weeks. A couple goodies were delivered. I'm still waiting on the GT scoop to be delivered.

The end caps weigh next to nothing. The trunk I'd say about 15-20 lbs less.

Will it be painted or are you going to leave the carbon look

I don't know yet, probably partially painted. Depends on what I do with the hood. The hood will be probably be mostly blacked out like the older Mach 1's. So the trunk will maintain the same line.

Late Christmas present to match the trunk. I guess I was a good boy this year.
