The hood trim, especially ones in really good shape are in high demand lately. You could always try selling it in the Classified section of the Forums.http://mmb.maverick.to/forumdisplay.php?f=63

It is also a good place to start looking for a Maverick hood, or post a Wanted ad for one.

They hate that i work on my car in the housing area! I do most of my work like reaplcing parts and tunesup s at the lifts on post (4 bucks an hour for a lift bad and any tools you could need) But sanding and wiring is all done in my driveway. The trim piece on my hood isnt perfect but its pretty nice, I have a friend in flagstaff looking in his junkyard for a hood. When i get a new one ill post the old trim up for sale here. Thanks guys

I have a very clean, non rusted hood that would work good for you. PM me if you're interested.

Update! Today I replaced my center link with a non power steering one and removed the non functional bits, then I did a wheel alignment with a tape measure (I know that's not the way to do it but I didn't have a laser.).
I am in the process of relocating my battery and I am debating moving my starter solenoid and regulator to the trunk as well. Sorry I didn't post any pics but i have the next 2 days off and ill post some tomorrow. If anyone wants to know how to wire relays or anything feel free to ask and ill post a writeup. Ill be back to sanding and posting pics Tomorrow!

There is a picture of that stupid hood scoop.
I also went on solidworks to to a basic layout of my planned center console, it might take a while with all the sanding but it should look decent.

I am making it so i can put my tablet in and play music straight off of it, ive already programmed my tablet to go to sleep when the ignitions off and auto wakeup when I turn the car on, the cubby below the spot for my tablet is for my Crossover. I will use that to control volume. I am adding cup holders and an arm rest too.

So today I finished sanding and priming, I masked everything off and began to spray.

It looked ok , I ended up going through about 6 cans of black for the entire car. Semi gloss.

I think she came out pretty nice,
The rear bumper had a nasty dent and it was all burnt like someone tried to use a torch to straighten it out, I pulled it off and used a hammer to straighten it as much as possible. I sanded off the chrome and did a few layers of primer. i am currently waiting for it to dry so here is what it looks like now.

Today I spent most of my time getting rid of the tape connections the old owner had... i put a couple of speakers in her so i could have some tunes and it made it pretty obvious I need dynamat. Oh and i finished my battery Relocation!
I put two 6 1/2 inch speakers in the back and added some 4 inchers in the front, I still have some of my old audio stuff from the bmw I scrapped and im planning to make use of it. I am gonna dynamat the whole car while building my center console.
I have 4 3 way crossovers and 3 amps, I am going to run 4 6 1/2 inch drivers, 4 4 inch mids , 4 1 inch tweeters , 2 6 X9s 2 10 inch subs and possibly a center channel speaker. i have a 7 band panaramic eq to tune it and use as volume crontrol and im gonna run it all with a tablet im going to integrate into the dash (the tablet will be removable.) My goal is to make it sound as good as my bmw did.
and yes I am going to sand and repaint the interior plastics.

So here are the rims I got for my comet, I was gonna go with some cragers but these where only 400 bucks from a buddy. I still havent gotten the kit to upgrade to disc brakes so i cant put em on yet.

I did a layer of dynamat on the back speaker tray and inside the rear quarter panels, im gonna do the entire trunk next.

Then I painted some interior parts and installed my new tweeters and crossovers.

Today I started to refurbish the dash, i sanded and painted it and took the guage cluster out to sand and paint it too, also i installed my dash cover, the interior is already looking better.

today i decided to work on the doors, here is how the passenger door was.
First i removed the door card then sanded and primerd the door.

With the door card i took the original cover off, then i cut a piece of carped glued it and then stapled around the edge.
then I painted the door black and put the card back in, i still havent decided about the arm rest, its got some tears in it and i think i might re upholster it.
I painted my kick panels and installed another set of tweeters, the stock 4 inch speakers are going to be replaced with a set of soundstream ones soon.
And here is what it looks like with my dash in. I really wish i had some before pictures because it was terrible.

So yesterday i got my new carpet kit in the mail, Today I took out the seats and center console. I wired the inside of the center console to be a bit more neat and upgraded the relays. tomorrow i am going to take out the carpet, spray the door jams and dynamat the whole floor. Hopefully by tomorrow evening i will have the car back together.
Oh and i took my dash cluster out and i am trying to figure out how to make it illuminate, i see a bunch of spots for lights but when i put lights in the holes they dont actually help light up the cluster?

so this is after i took it out.

that little power button is the car start button, i am still waiting on the piano hinge foam and fabric for my arms rest.
so with the cheap little tablet i have some pretty decent sound for cheaper than the price of a nice deck.
