So I got the wheels on but I had to raise the back 1 inch with shackle extensions... I plan on buying new leaf springs next and hopefully I wont need the extensions anymore. I am trying to figure out what I want to do about fender clearance, either I shorten the rear end or i make custom bolt on fender flares for the rear, not really sure what I wanna do yet.
Sometime this week i am gonna finish up a bit of wiring and tint the back windows, then ill give her a wash.

You really need to get wheels that FIT your car. You are chasing the symptoms but not addressing the problem: Wheels not designed to fit your car, plus the added spacers to get them "bolted on".

if I find a 5 lug rear axle that is for a maverick I can remove those adapters and the wheels will be flush. I bought the wheels taking into consideration that I was going to replace the rear end anyway not realizing the huge difference 2 inches would make.

I happen to like the look of the tires sticking out.. I don't believe tires HAVE to sit inside the fenders. Just as long as they can't touch each other.

ive rolled my fenders with a wooden baseball bat and it gave it some flare maybe about 1/2 to an inch

By law the tires have to sit INSIDE the fenders. As far as those are sticking out....I see a mangled fender in his future.

Craig, That may be the law in Indiana, but i know in GA they cant stick out more than 4 inches... It leans more to the 4X4 guys than the cars...

Sorry its 3inches after looking it up...

the laws vary from state to state, as of now I am ok because I only drive her around a military base and we dont observe state laws, but I hope to have her California legal before I am out. In California your tread cant stick out at all.
