Now that we have the rear panel done, it is time to start finishing the blocking on the car. Part of that is to fix what the last painter messed up in the engine compartment and the bottom of the Maverick.

Here are some pictures of the wheel wells. You can see the rolled fenders.

    Looking real good (y)

I see clearly see that your rear piviot point for your roll over is at the center of your tail lights but could you post a photo or two of where it is in the front of your car? I built my roll over mounts to catch the front and rear bumper mounting points just like yours but I also pivioted at the level of those same points. The shell got top heavy on me as I rolled it over. I have to roll the shell over one more time but now I have the weight of the cage installed so i have to rebuild my roll over mounts to pivot higher up on the shell - thanks for the pictures :)

Take the belly bar off before you paint the underside, it should be Black. :)

I agree. Something else I asked the previous painter to do and my request was ignored. It will be done this time.

Here are some older pictures of the how the front end is mounted on the Rotiserie (SP). Hope this helps.

Center of headlights - thanks much :Handshake

Does the car easily pivot over at these points? Balance good? :)

It is fairly easy with the way it is. It could be better but I can turn it over by myself.

Would you think a better balance would be to center the pivot higher than the centerline of the headlights/tail lights or lower?

On my rotisserie my front pivot point is pretty much centered in the radiator opening and it is still bottom heavy, although it is manageable by one person. I would have to redo the rear mount to raise it up any further. I dont have fenders on mine so not sure how much difference that would make.

If your car is still bottom heavy, you would need to drop the pivot point a bit lower towards that weight, not higher, further away from it. My pivot point need to go up some since my car was top heavy, as can be seen in the photo below. I could still manage it before but, now with the cage, I know it will not be good.

I know. Thats what I said. Raising the car will lower the pivot point. Guess I wasn't too clear on that point. My fingers never do a good job of relaying what my brain is thinking. :D
