    They would need to settle about 4 to 5 inches just to get somewhere close to stock ride height. I ordered a set of the new tapered mono leaf springs from Calvert Racing.

    I compared them with the stock springs I took off the car when I first was tearing it down and they have less arch but are stiffer. If I put both on the ground next to each other and stand on them the stock springs would flex to the same height as the mono leaf with weight on them. I think they are going to work well on the car.

    It is nice to start pulling some of the stuff out of the basement I have been collecting for the last 4 years and start installing it on the car.

    The front suspension is one of the things I probably would have changed if I did it over again. I would have went with the suspension that Scooper installed.

    Here are the pictures of the car on the ground. The rear tire is larger than stock. It is a 245/45/17 and here is still inches from the top of the tire to the bottom of the wheel well. We stuck 200 lbs in the rear of the car and it only dropped 1/4inch. I do not think the springs will settle 4 inches.

    the springs will settle.

    my car went from this...

    ...to tires rubbing in the rear. so i went with different width rims, but roughly same diameter tires. stance went to this:

    2 things...are they the correct rear leaf springs? (look short)
    disconnect the traction bars and see if they relax.

    My general springs settled over two inches, I still need a one inch lowering block... I'm thinking yours look way to high, I think you should take off the cal trac bars and look again... I do agree your car is sitting unusually high...

    PS: The car is looking awsome....

    I took them off and there was no change. I made sure before we put the car on the ground they were loose with no tension.

    I called and verified that they are the right springs but I told them it is nowhere close. Maybe they are over arched.

    I figured they would settle but not another 4 to 5 inches.

    What's the black stuff you used on the outer side of the inner fenders? Raptor liner, Lizard skin? Something like that?

    too much arch...the shackle is forward of center.
