I think the...heater control... harness was all that was used...

 

How does it adapt into your ignition system especially into the column - do you still use the stock key or is it built for a remote start button?

 

the wires were removed from the harness plug, new connectors put on them and then plugged in....

Thanks Dave! Color should be on the car on Wednesday but I have stopped holding my breath on dates.

 

Ahhh the joys of body work...I thought I'd be spraying epoxy today, but spent the day fixing little things that will never be seen.. I'd starve doing this for a living, I'd take way too long.
It's worth the wait, it's going to be an amazing car, bringing them up to another level.

 

Just a quick update. Taping off the car will be done today and paint should be shot today or first thing tomorrow. I am actually thinking it will happen this time, but again I am not going to hold my breath. Schedules have come and gone with both painters.

 

Just spent all morning reading this and it's impressive. I like what you have done to the car. What is crazy is when I saw the as purchased pictures it looked like a real nice survivor with a few bruises but there sure were some surprises lurking under that paint. Proves the old adage, you can't judge a book by it's cover!

No offense but every time I read your post with the spaces like that I hear Captain James T Kirk's voice in my head!

 

Today is supposed to be the day I have been waiting for!!!!! Paint will fly today. Hopefully tonight I can post pictures with some color in them!!!!!!:bananaman

 

OK. Everytime I get an e-mail notification from a post in this thread, I get all excited to finally see your car in colour! That excitement blows-up in my face when I get here and learn that they (body/paint guys) are still stringing stuff along!

I can't imagine what YOU'RE going through right now...

Ran into a problem late last night and it is corrected. It is almost go time. Here are some pictures of the final clean up and mask prior to sealing and color.

 

I hope no overspray gets on those hinges...

 

Working on taping off the engine compartment now. Don't you worry about the over spray, now is not the time to rush the details.

 

Looks good and I love the interior.................great job so far!
