    Thanks for great comments!

    It looks like paint tomorrow. I have never stood 2 feet from the finish line (at least for the paint) and not be able to take that step. I have waited this long what is another day. I just am at the end of my anticipation rope. I am starting to get upset but have kept my feelings under control.

    In reference to the 12th picture in post #417;
    Is your hinge "stuck" in that position?
    Mine looked just like that, after my applying a bit too much force to move it to a "close trunk lid" position. Now it will only go into the same position as your hinge is in, or if I push it down, it won't allow the trunk lid to be adjust into proper alignment.
    Note how in the raised position, the hinge comes up against the trunk edge, preventing it from opening to it's full arc.
    I've tried adjusting the tension bars, but this hasn't helped. I've compared my hinges to those on other Mavericks, and nothing looks bent.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated, since I am waiting for a solution before starting a full rear quarter panel install.
    Thanks.

    Today is finally the day. There was an area in the door that needed to be addressed and that was the hold up. We put the car on jack stands and removed the wheels. The car was fully taped off and now starts the color. The car was sealed first with a white sealer for the yellow paint and two coats of color was applied in these pictures. We will apply one more coat and then start laying down the stripes. I will post those up later tonight.

    Here goes! Enjoy!!!

    I can't wait till the stripes go down tonight and the clear is shot. That thing should pop like no other. I have always loved velocity yellow and thought it was always the perfect bright yellow without looking like a highlighter.

    Hood, cowl, trunk, and grabber side stripes. You know what the hood is going to look like, Thanks for the approval of your design!

    Are the stripes the same width as stock? Or wider?
