Looking like Dad will get an awesome Christmas gift this year.....

 

I am sorry to say it will not be done for Christmas. I should have everything I need except the engine and the radiator/fan. The assembly will be somewhat tedious do to having to locate and order all the items needed to make it a over the top assembly.

I want to make sure that each system is run so it looks right and done right.

After the feedback I received I decided that I would rather give my dad a turn key car versus a half way built car so he can enjoy it as soon as he sees it.

 

Been a while since I've checked in... Awesome work and WOW! that yellow is bright!

 

We scheduled painting the all the flat black pieces on the car which included the tail panel of the car. Due to the -15 degree temperatures (-35 degrees wind chill) we decided to hold off painting anything. The shop stays warm but there has been power and gas outages throughout the area.

So we went ahead and fitted the trunk and spoiler.





We also decided to start work on the dash. I am changing the original gauges with Autometer muscle car gauges.

Here is the start of the fabrication of the instrument cluster:

 

Cars looking good..... I am using those American muscle car gauges also, they will be mounted in the dash, but I will still be using the stock speedo.....

 

Paint looks great and I can't wait to see how the dash turns out.......I'd like to do the same for mine..........getting some of the gauges hanging from the dash in plain sight.

 

I was hoping that no one in the world would see those gauges and I would be the only one to use them.
