    Looks FANTASTIC!!!!

Mind if I ask, what is his process for sanding and buffing? What grit paper does he start with? What grit does he finish with? For buffing, does he use a wool pad or foam? 3 step or 4 like me?

Just curious to see what other guys do. I'm insane and go overboard sometimes I think.

    Glenn

Oh, one last thing. You have posted it i'm sure. But what size are the rear wheels and tires? I know you still need to change the springs, but curious about the sizes you are running. They look as though they will fit nice when the new springs are in.

He starts with 800 grit, then 1200, then 2000. He them goes to a wool pad with cutting compound, then a softer wool pad with a stage 2 glaze. He then switches to a foam pad with a glaze and finishes up with a different foam pad with a 3 stage wax/glaze.

There rear wheels are 17x8" with a 3.5" back spacing. The tires are a Bridgestone Potenza RE11's 245/45/17's.

The fronts are 17x8 with a 4.75" back spacing. The tires are a Bridgestone Potenza RE11's 245/40/17's.

I might switch the back spacing on the rear wheels to 4.25" just to be safe. Once I get the new leafs installed it will give me a better indication of how close I will be. I think they will fit but I rolled the front and rear wheel wells to give me additional clearance.

Good to see I am not the only nut that starts at 800. Yay... Lol....

I go 800, 1000, 1200, 1500, 2000 then 3000 Trizact. I buff with compound with wool, then again with a white foam pad. Then black foam bad with machine glaze. Lastly blue pad with Ultrafina. Perfect look every time.

    Thanks,
    Glenn

He is down to the blue pad on most of the car.

I figure if you start off with anything finer than 800 you are probably working to hard to get the initial cut.

Door handle is on as well as the polished trim around the door.

Is the handle smaller than the raised section on the door? Or is that a reflection.

That is the reflection of the top of the handle. This car has a lot of reflection!

Wow looks great. In the pictures of your paint job I did not think it needed sanded and buffed, you got that paint to lay out nice. What clear did you use?

Mirrors are on, the door trim is on, door handles are installed, and the locks are finished.

I hate taking pictures of the car at night. It dilutes the color.
