1972 Maverick Grabber Resto/Mod for my Dad

I am shooting for July. I will probably do the car show idea. The plan is to have the wiring done as soon as I get it home, then the interior. Once that is done I will start from the back of yhe car and work my way forward. I would like to have everything done except for the motor ,tranny and cooling system done by end of May. The motor is scheduled to be done by Mid May. Hopefully I will have the money saved for the tranny by then. That will be around 3 weeks out. Then I should only have the cooling system left.

Im disappointed. You go through all the trouble of assembling this and didnt bother to wipe the dust off the dash pad. J/K.... LOL looks phenomenal. Nice work.

 

I am installing the dash pad that will go on the dash today. That is the pad we used for mockup so we did not accidently damage the good one with no cracks in it.

I also have the plugs that need to be painted to cover the screw access holes and the control panel.

 

The dash is amazing. I think the wiper and headlamp knobs I used would look great with your dash.

Thanks for the great comments. It should moved home sometime this week. The last little touch ups are being finish and the final polish is being done. 3 years since it left my garage and it is ready to come back for final assembly.

 

Dash looks good. What made you put the Tach on the right side versus the left?

 

No real reason. I just put them in. I can switch them in about 90 seconds. I never really put any thought on which side they should go. Now you have me wondering which side to install the speedo?????

 

In every vehicle I've owned with a tach the speedo was on the right, that's my vote.

 

Does it really matter?
