    How many gallons will it hold ???

    The oil pan is notched, tig welded, and leak tested and looks really good. I really wish the manufacturers welds look as good as the new ones.

    It is off to be zinc plated.

    I received the Calvert Racing 1" lower leaf springs or the back half of them. The front half is the same so they sent just the back halves so I could switch them out.

    After my initial install I didn't think 1" was going to be enough so I installed 1/2 lower blocks at the same time.

    The switch was easy and fast. I appreciate the help for Calvert Racing and they have been helpful through the entire process.

    If you are planning on putting Calvert Racing Springs on you car do not plan on them settling or sagging. After receiving feedback from many people that used their springs on various types of cars the feedback was the same. If they do settle they will only settle 1/4" at the most.

    I also installed the QA1 shocks. When I placed my order for my Caltrac's, I decided to eliminate the pin side of the shock and go with eyelets on both ends. They sent the proper leaf spring plates to make the switch fast and easy.

    I am starting to install the fuel tank but will need to get the electrical connectors and the fuel line before permanently installing it.

    Big improvement. Still a little high, but not bad. I still don't understand why the tires are closer to the rocker panel than the lower rear quarter panel, although I assume the axle would move a little further back if the body came down more.

    I will wait till it is completely back together before making further adjustments. I did plan on installing another 1/2 lowering block but I thought I would wait to see what it looks like under full weight.

    Yes it does clear but it is close. I took the back spacing measurements from Maverick Man's website. I also rolled the fenders all the way around the car. Closer than I would have preferred but the do clear.

    USING BLOCKS TO RAISE OR LOWER YOUR VEHICLE
    A Quick, But Inadequate, Fix

    Blocks are a cheap, down and dirty, quick way to raise or lower a vehicle, but they are not the best way.
    The use of blocks is the leading cause of axle wind-up and poor vehicle handling.
    A vehicle is most stable when the spring seat at the axle is closest to a line drawn between the front and rear eye of the spring.
    As the distance between the spring seat and this line increases, so does axle wind-up.
    The more the axle rotates because of axle wind up, the less stable the vehicle will be.
    For these reasons we do not recommend the use of blocks to change the ride height of any vehicle.
    True, the Big 3 have used blocks on the rear of some trucks, but pay close attention to the next one you see traveling down the road.
    Notice how the axle attempts to twist. This twisting happens on all vehicles as they accelerate and brake. However, the twisting is much more severe on block-equipped vehicles.
    Also notice blocks are no longer used by these manufacturers.
    We can manufacture springs that will either lower or raise your vehicle up to 3 Inches, so why even consider blocks?

    I zoomed in on the tire, and could only make out 17" rims.
