where is this amazing build today?

 

I believe the builder is on Facebook. I don't recall if it is done.

 

Hate to say it, but far too many builds start with great aspirations and brilliant ideas to make a car that's far, far better than new, only to have it move slower and slower every year...and maybe come to a standstill at some point. I say that not to discourage anyone from knocking everyone's socks off, but just to point out how a journey most commonly fails to reach its destination.

 

The build was supposedly for his father, was way over he top for anything my father would drive.

 

Wasn't this the car with the $8000.00 exhaust?

 

Wouldn't surprise me. He was reluctant to talk about the cost of anything, but the work was every bit that of a six figure, custom build or a concours restoration. Labor of love. I hope it was eventually finished and everything he wants it to be, but it was far beyond most people, and all of it shop time.
