Lol....38 mavericks....that blue one is definitely a keeper. More eye candy! These cars can really look good....they are definitely the model that the maker left the slate blank on. The world will just have to wonder how a Maverick elevated to boss mustang status would have fared. Yours sure is fast, and very pleasing to look at.

55 ? heheheh, I havent even built 55 slot cars yet, and that includes junk cars I bought just for parts....but I might be close. You should put Wilbur (the car) in the garage too. I can hardly wait for spring to start wrenching again....my 1st one will go for a drive next Summer!

Really great car you built here, Mike. I've always loved this cars look and clean execution but I think the 80's/90's nostalgia that it brings back into memory is what always makes it so familiar and appealing. Plus, it's a "Fast Ford" and anyone with even a slight tinge of blue in their veins ALWAYS gives bonus points for that. :burnout:

Also gotta add more love for builds you could even scoot back and forth to work on occasion(weather/traction permitting of course). IME, eatin' GM's and plowing Chryslers all the way to and from work always seems to make the job grind that much more enjoyable.

PS. not to get all needy here.. but I know I don't stand alone in saying we eventually need to see more pictures of this car. You know, the typical magazine style shots.. "3/4 view, low angle side" and don't forget the "full frontal". :camera:

PSPS. and more trees with less Walmarts too please. :D

Nice updated pictures. Oceans are even better than trees. Always cool to see the natural progression of a car over the years too.

Still has the Weld's on it these days?

No it has the slotted mags on it for now at they are true to the Maverick, Welds are for the racing days which are far and few these days as it only sees Ford Fever races and oldies but goodies action. Got to be too much doing the points racing circuit and traveling 100 miles one way at 19 races a year plus other non points races. Did it for almost 10 years the wife raced as well and I went mainly to support her as she made the team several years in a row and was in the top four one year

Sounds like a fun filled life time chock full of racing enjoyment. :thumbs2:

And .. smart man, push the ego aside to take full advantage of the woman's inherently quicker reaction time. :D
