    I have seen a few.
None were done from the factory.
I doubt any were done at the dealer either, however, in the early 70s you could probably talk them into doing just about anything if you had deep enough pockets.

Monkey: They fit fine without ANY modding to the car.
A Cleveland or Windsor are both substantially wider and they fit without mods if you don't mind raising the engine to change plugs.

Some years ago I happened into a set of headers for a Boss 302 in a Mav. They do make the swap headers. I got a deal on a set new in the box.
I pulled the heads on my 302 and stuck a set of C heads on them and mocked it all up. Plugs were easy access and headers fit fine except one tube hit my Lakewood scatter shield. The headers were 8 seperate tubes and go on one at a time.
They were also 2 1/8" primary! :yup:
It's a much easier swap IMO than a 351, but the engine has a soggy bottom end, so IMO it's not worth the trouble...
Unless you were to use Aussie 302c heads and a 347 crank.

    Where is the Car Located?

Was this car purchased on Ebay in the past few months? How did you acquire it? If it really is a BOSS conversion, it may really be worth something. If you can verify it. I would get it insured.

I personally have never seen a BOSS 302 in a Maverick, doesn't mean that it doesn't exist though. (y)

Also, the boss block will have screw in cast iron freeze plugs. (I didn`t see where anyone had mentioned that)

Also the Boss 302 valve covers will have 8 bolts (per cover), normal 302s have 6.

also if it was a sprint it would be red, white and blue. the inside would be also. i think you have a standard maverick.:)

Matt, you're right about David's Boss 302 Mav not having the shock towers modified. His headers did go in one tube at a time as stated by Ratio411. He was at a local cruise in this past Sat. I can't help but to stare at his car everytime I see it. The only other Maverick I've seen so clean would be Mavaholic's Sprint.

I don't have the ad he commented on, but this is pretty much what the headers look like.
The pic is of the headers for a 351c Mav, the B302s are identical, just slightly shorter tubes and larger tubes. (1 7/8" vs 2" or 2 1/8" optional)

Its not a Sprint either. Probably just a standard Maverick. The trim code would be RB on the door data sticker if it was a factory Sprint.
