What you guy think for exhaust diameter??? 2.25 or 2.5??

I stay with the 302, carb 600, 1 3/4 longtube headers an wanna build it for low rpm torque, not high rpm HP!
Maybe one day some kind of blower...

Better go 2.25 for torque but might choke it when i wanna go bigger?

    Please advice!

    interior installing in proces...
just putting it in for the transport, will not connect anything to be able to just take it out again in europe
the weird green color is the primer used after sandblasting the parts, will stay like that until final paint starts

It looks great Mike - compared to where it started (beneath all the sculpted bondo and pretty paint). I know it is not where you wanted to be at this stage in your planning but with a little more finesse on the body you will be ready for paint and assembly once it gets back to Europe with you.

thanks guys, its nice to see it coming together and looking like a car again.
gives me motivation to see that it will look cool when done.
but still a long way to go...

finally got my part car parts, but they cost me a ton of money to get them cross the border and they arrived here dented and with parts missing. so no luck again on that...

started preparing fenders and doors for installing, took off the trim to polish and put the fenders on the car.
they fit more or less but for the moment good enough.

the parts had the chrome trim around the cuarter windos and the doors on the lower side, so thinking about putting these on my car or not... what do you think?
putting together the front end, with fenders, bumper brackets, lower valance.
and decided to not make a fender notch but cut in the stone guard, as it was esier as it still was off the car and i could work my way to make it fit.

tomorrow ill finish the front with bumper and grill and this week the hood and trunk should be finished in primer.
so finish the interior, put in the windshield and fit the doors and im ready to ship it looking like a car ( as its not running at all...)

and found a lucky coin in the parts car, i hope it will brink luck to my car as it hasnt gone that well until now im optimistic that it will be better when i finish it in europe...

    when are you leaving?

as far as the chrome trim is concerned - i think i have read that you need the boomerangs to match.

That is a bicentennial quarter...only issued in 1976. Somewhat collectible.

thanks, its coming together slowly and makes desire to drive it immediately...
the container will leave on 1.10. and ill fly one day later. that will be the end of my mexican adventure...

i have the boomerangs as well as the trim part for the bottom side of the door window.
so that would make the chrome trim go all around the window.
was this a special option? i haven seen it on other mavs before.
not sure yet if ill love it or not...

yeah, something special for me as we dont have or use quarters.
but i checked, it only is worth like 2-13USD so no real valor.
its more sentimentally for me as it is part of the car i will frankenstein with mine... :rofl2:

what you guys think of the form of the new hood? does it look like original?
to me it came out pretty good for beeing the front part of a normal hood...

It is coming down to the wire!

The hood looks good. It is a one off. Normal hood front lip Grabber hood. I like the uniqueness.

Nothing wrong with that hood at all! It`s rust-free and it looks great. That`s ALL that matters. Good Luck with getting the rest of the car together before the shipping date! You have accomplished so much in a short period of time!! :thumbs2::tiphat:
