Car looks really nice,& ladder bars work very well on these cars.I have a set but to start w/ I`m going to stay w/ the cal-tracs that came on my 70 roller. That Dana 60 is a good rear, really strong axle tubes, but they are heavy & harder to change gear ratios in.But w/ that big blk in your car it will help balance it out & you will have the power to overcome the weight.

considering it came with a built powerglide and 3 460 blocks and 2 sets of heads .
The aje front end alone is 1500 $ with fox spindles ...i couldnt pass it all up

UPDATE * Rear end is out getting set up with new gear ratio and 35 spline axles to be put back in with new girdled cover

Sounds like you got a smoking deal to me.
I like the idea of the Dana60, they are virtually bullet proof as long as the housing is dead on straight side to side (axle to carrier from both sides) and although I wasn't putting the torque through mine in my SS/IA car, it lasted 3 seasons without any work other than changing fluid and seals.
I'd love to see more pictures as you put it back together:Handshake

gonna start sheet metal tin work , anyone have any ideas on early mustang floor boards ? if they would work ?

thinking of doing factory style floor boards and a removable trans tunnel . A lot of classes for some reason want factory style floors . As well im trying to not have that all out race car look ...i mean that sounds funny being tubbed out and the chassis the way it is , but im

using factory dash , door panels , using glass windows and going to carpet the floor . yes its a race car but i want it to still have the roots of the car . I truly hate seeing race cars with sheetmetal dashes and lexan windows ect

i will take some new pics this weekend

    regards
    Andrew

Many on here have used early Mustang floor panels.
