OK I found the poll and I voted. I tried to pick a mix of cars with Mavericks, Grabbers, Comets, and even one big bumper car -- different colors, different years, different angles. I also voted for my car twice, but I want to get in. Anyway this was fun, and I'm still going to buy three calendars whether I make it or not.

I voted for 12 but it was tough. Being a very expereinced photographer (was once a aprofessional), I found the quality of photographs (not the cars) to not be $20 calendar quality. Personally, when paying money for a calendar, I expect more than snapshots. There are some cars in the choices that would be worthy of poster size if the photographic quality matched the cars. There are cars that pictures just plain don't do them justice.

Voted for 13 cars. I really like 22, the primered car at the old gas station with the old truck in the background. We have all had our car at that stage at one point. drove my car primered for 5 years and just really dig the look. I was not concerned about photo qulaity. This is a calendar by the group for the group, not selling for profit. My car was in one of the first or second calendars we made and the picture quality wasn't great but it was nice to see it in there and share my car.

Well after reading all the posts about quaility of cars and pictures on both sites I for one will never again post a picture of my car just to be insulted, it may not be a Grabber or Comet GT or special in any way to anybody else but me, but it is mine and I like it so I will just keep it to myself.

I will still purchase the calender because of my love for the cars, but there are some people that should be ashamed of what they have said and probably should have kept thier feelings to themselves, so if it makes you feel better that you have hurt someones feelings glad I made your day.

Car 47 in the calender picture posts

...in the first post it states:
the top 13 "calendar ready" pictures will be used.

then it goes on to say:
The final selection of cars will be done by Jimmy, the calendar organizer, and may not reflect the top 13 pictures selected.

so with this being said, there is hope for all the cars untill Jimmy makes his pick...

    Mike,
with all the mav/comet people on here, don't let one person mess it up for the rest of us.
i for one like looking at your car and the rest of them...:yup:
i have met this person and he is a real nice guy, i don't know why he would make a statement like that...it floored me when i read it.
maybe he has forgotten what his looked like on the way to the "TOP".
i may not make the calendar but my entry into this...Chip Foose...car show will always be my best maverick memory...

Just want to re-iterate that if a picture does not print well, it will not be used for a calendar. A picture may look great on your monitor, but look very poor when printed on paper.
