Well things were somewhat better today. Did some tinkering on the truck before we started. Runs fine now. At 4:50 this afternoon we blew a second tire. 85 miles from a Discount tires store. They closed at 5. So we headed to Wall Mart and all they have is a load range D so I had them slap it on in case I need it for a spare tomorrow. Just need to be a little slower I guess. Maybe on Monday morning we can find the right load range. All the tire I have on there right now are load range d. We made it to Yukon, Oklahoma and after a short swim we're waiting for the pizza to be delivered. :)

P.S. Tiana said hi to everyone. The girls are looking forward to seeing you all.

Got started at 7:00am and made 650 miles to Burley Idaho, went through some big rainstorms then into 90+ temps, no problems as of yet :) plan is to make it Omaha or a little farther tomorrow.Trying to get at least 600 miles a day to make it in early Wednesday

Funny you should pick that #. That's how far Google Maps says it is from my house to the hotel. :D

I was up late figureing out a plan of attack for the drive.. Dorothy and I went back and forth about going and not going.. I had just learned Matt and family were not going. That ALMOST decided it for us not to go. .. Luckily I found a room in Little Rock for the trip back home. Having to stay somewhere over night going and coming would nix us also.. We have a trip to make to Las Vegas in January where I am to be the best man for a friend. Gotta be on a strict budget. The stay over coming home was not on the plans..

I am positive that even if I leave at 0600, I will get passed by someone from another state over by noon.

Hope to leave out around 5 AM Monday morning. Headed to Ky to visit with friends and family before the Gathering. Will leave from Louisville to Somerset on Thurs with the gold '73 Stang conv. Cougar did not want to run like I wanted it to, so I will bring the old Steady Edddie out. At least it's a classic! Maybe next year with the Maverick Sprint or Comet GT. Looking forward to seeing some old friends and making new ones. See you there!
