2014 MCG Gathering

When do you think you will be through the Denver area?

 

If your passing through St. louis at the right time or it is a stop location. Give us a yell, we will buy you and Cindy dinner.

 

It appears the Gathering may be out of reach for me this year. I recently have a re-occurring issue w/my left knee. Had ortho 3 years ago and now having problems walking.
I've been standing & walking a lot lately doing work around the house and lots of standing at curise-inns even though I have a chair in my possession at all events. I will try to see my specialist this week and see how things go. My wife is against the idea of traveling 300mi w/ walking issues. I was looking fwd to meeting some of the folks I may not have met last year, but it may not work out.

Sorry to hear that Everett. Keep in mind there will be plenty that are willing to help you carry things to and from your room and help any way possible.

 

Made it through Denver Sunday night at about 7:30 pm I didnt want to have to fight morning traffic, thought we would find a room to the east of Denver ended up driving to Limon and getting there at 11:00 pm I think we put in about 850 miles nasty roads and traffic. Going to sleep in a little tomorrow

As for dinner Allan thanks for the offer but dont any ide when we will be in the area looks like I am about 400 miles from you

 

Don't worry about dinner, just take them to Ted Drewes.

Made it about 30 miles east of KC before the butt checks deflated , time changes doesnt help any. You know you are a few miles from home when you are 2 time zones away. Looks like I am just shy of 600 left to go,

Sorry I didnt make it your neighborhood Allan, when I thought it was only about 400 miles I was thinking KC. Been a great trip so far saw some beautiful country in Utah on hwy 6 and a great lightning storm last nght east of Denver, the rolling hills of Kansas may not be much but they sure sucked the gas mileage down.

 

mojo, sorry to hear about your knee, I had ortho done on mine some 25 years ago and it has been great every since. I was looking forward to meeting you but rest on your knee is very important

 

That drive across Kansas is rough. You should have contacted Matt Williams, you were only a few miles from him. We will see you this weekend.

 

Will be rolling out on Thursday. Anyone coming through STL on Thursday?

 

We are packed, cars have been checked out, will roll out in the morning sometime, all coming have safe trips.

 

We rolledin at 7:30 no room available for early arrival so we are camping out in the Walmart parking lot. LOL We are just up the street at the Holiday Inn Express, it was the only place with a room available for miles, never even gave it a thought about it being full
