Spent yesterday and part of today scrubbing everything with scotch bright pads. Wiped it all down with lacquer thinner and taped it off. Then sprayed 2 coats of epoxy primer.

Nice work Don! U must have heated work area to be able to paint this time of the year?
What color will u paint the bay? Going to be real nice when u finish. I can't get motivated to do anything in my garage -- to cold. How do u deal w/ the paint fumes?

Thanks! My Wife bought me a kerosene heater for Xmas. It warms it up into the 60s. Gonna paint it the body color.

U don't have any concerns abt paint fumes and open flame frm the heater? I have a kerosene convection heater but have'nt used it in years cuz can't stand the fumes. Even w/ the windows & doors cracked they get to me after a while. I just have to wait till it warms up some.

Sprayed it Sam. Had it mixed and in the gun and the gun was clogged. So I rushed out and bought a new one. Wasnt sure how long it would be sprayable. I have to leave it sit for almost 2 weeks, going out of town. Cant wait to get the color on it and start putting it back together.

It has been tough getting motivated since my trip South. The cold weather has taken the wind out of my sails. I managed to go out there and do a little this afternoon. I unmasked some of the parts that were left on the firewall and around the steering gear and sprayed some parts with a silver type paint. I will let that dry over night and remask tomorrow. I have a few things to spray black and remask as well. Then I will wet sand the primer and get ready to spray the color Sunday.

Got back in the groove today. I was going to do the entire engine bay in the exterior color, that's what it seemed to be from the factory. However, I checked my old quart of single stage and I didn't have as much as I thought. So I painted the radiator support and frame rails black. Tomorrow I will mask it off a spray the remainder in the blue that I have left.
