seems not all mavs are the same but my 72 with the stock 8"rear a 3"or even a 3 3/4 bs the rim and tire would have been way out past the fender ..the rims i got 1st turned out to be a 4"bs and they where even with the fender lip .....what i can see what works for one mav may for another but you can always space it out you cant go in ..my rims are 15x8 4 1/2bs rim with a 1/4 spacer to get me to 4 ΒΌ BS.......the 4 1/2bs the tire just started to rub
