302 small block hooker headers rebuild exhaust help

    Sorry I was wrong on that tire size. I looked again when i got home today. It was 245 60 14s.

    First off I believe we need to get our terminology in sync. When I write inner fender I'm referring to the inside of the outer fender as opposed to the inside of the wheel tub.
    Even with the clarification you posted, I'm still do not believe a 9x15 inch wheel with a 3.5 back spacing will fit your car. I only suggest you do some test fitting before you purchase wheels and tires.

    I don't believe there is a difference in wheel wells between `70 and `74, however I will leave that to the Maverick/Comet experts on this site.

    When my comet had 302/C4, I ran hooker headers with glasspacks right off them. 6 Bolts. easy. Being equally tight on funds at the time, I figured they're only about 20-30 per side and give you some form of exhaust system until youre able to build from it
