im kinda new to this but I’ve read a lot of different post on here but I still have my doubt on some things for an in-line 6 to 302 and maybe I could get some more info on them.

I heard you could use the inline 6 frame mounts and just flip them around and the maverick 302 motor mounts bolt on. Has anyone actually done this? And does it work ok?

My mav has column shift... does something have to change with the shifting brackets or inline 6 system it has right now for the 302? Or is it easier to just go floor shifter? (Keeping the c4)

Bu the way, the 302 I’m using is from a 1990 cougar.

I hope I can get some answers for these sorts simple problems. Thanks

You will need the correct Maverick V-8 frame mounts.

The linkage at the bottom of the steering column for the column shifted automatic is different from a 6 cyl to a V-8. It can be hard to find parts. Might be easier to convert to an aftermarket floor shifter.
