I think I better get my Mustang II conversion and LARGE upgrade done soon. I'm about to fade to page 2...If you know what I mean.

it does take a lot of money....and I so often see guys spend a boat load of money on one thing and forget about something else and they do not reap the benefits of their $$$$ spent.... If you do it wisely and pay attention to detail (and I am not saying that is what I did....there is a few things I would have done different on my car) you can get a 6 second car at a decent price. Its all what you want to do with it... for me, since my car is a race car, its a lot cheaper for me to get in the 6's than say someone who has a street car and wants to keep it real streetable.
If you are not worried about creature comfort and highway gears and things that can save a ton in weight......you can take a rolling chassis and be in the 6's pretty easy........now as everyone knows, the quicker you get, the harder and more $$$ you most spend to pick up more E.T.
and of course....if you got speed in a bottle.....then it depends on how brave you are :D

I agree with you on the speed in a bottle and being brave...
I have a stock 302 in my 76 F-100 and i can turn that thing HARD and it's never blown.
Once I get the 390 or the 351W built for my truck, im pulling the good motor out of my Comet, slapping in that motor as is, and spraying the mess out of it. Going to start at 50 shot and work my way up :)
Then when its gone.... put the NOS with a 50 or 100 shot on good motor just for giggles

Geeze. I have 3:89 gears and I hate driving mine on the interstates. I cant imagine taking any kind of trip in it.

Well, "trip" can be a misleading word.....definitely not gonna take any family vacations anytime soon!:D Maybe just drive around my part of the state a little more, the 3.89's should be alot better then the 4.56 gears.

Definitely a language thang when describing some street cars.... you know the ones that run low 5's in the 1/8th or mid 8's in the 1/4
Seems that "street car" is more of a generic name to describe a race car that has all the proper functioning devices required to be liscensed and driven on the street....doesn't necessarily mean that is what the car will do for the duration of its life.
I believe Stephen's car is has close to a street car (That will fly:eek: ) as you can get before you have went to far with it and it is strictly race. Stephen has a good balance between street/strip.....but I think he is a little on the strip side :D

Depending on the sort you use, there will be a different amount of entries listed. There are 38 entries if I sort by username. I also removed the bogus entry.
