If the bell is for a 250 or 302, you are fine.
If your C4 was behind a 6 cylinder, then you should either build it to v8 standards, then some... or get a C4 that is ready for a decent v8 already.

The stock I6 C4s have some lighter duty parts.
Not a problem, as long as you know about it and rectify it.

As for mods, the 351 will use any and all 302/c4 tranny parts and mounts.
    Most accessories will work too.
It's a pretty straight forward swap, but it is not for the faint of heart or Ford-uneducated person.
Gotta figure out what you can hybrid and what you can't.
    Tight fit and time consuming.

“No one, not even Bob Glidden got a steel crank for his Pro-stock Cleveland. This is one engine Ford never needed to offer a steel crank!”

My Cleveland was from a Q Code (cobra jet) Gran Torino that I drove to 100,000 miles and the crank was nodular iron. The engine ran strong right up to the time the quarter panels were falling off of it.:)

“The engine will go in without shaving the towers, however you'll never catch me doing that again! You gotta have that little extra room to save your sanity.”

    BOY YOU GOT THAT RIGHT!!!
