When I put the 393w into my car I plan to run a Victor jr. intake on it...Does anyone know if I `ll be able to put my stock Grabber hood on? I like the Fiberglass cowl induction hoods (2nd option) ,but I really want to go with the Grabber hood.

I have a 351W in my '71 and I originally purchashed the Performer RPM Airgap...but unfortunatly I had to return it and exchange it for the Regular Performer RPM manifold. I'm using a LS6 GM aircleaner (very nice drop base and peaked top) with a 3" K&N and was almost an inch to tall. But the Regular Performer RPM fits perfectly with room to spare. I was thinking about trying a custom made fiberglass hood with the section between the scoops raised...but painted to give the illusion that it still dropped like normal...just a thought. I hope this helps

Isn't a Torker, Jr. about half the height of a tunnel ram? I know it sits high and when you add a 1" spacer, you're getting some height, especially since the 351W is going to sit a little taller to start with. With air cleaner, I'll wager it doesn't fit.

I'm available if you need help. (y)

That's a Victor series intake, not a torker......torker intakes are for street cars.....

no problem.....I think he will have clearance problems with the Super Victor or the Victor Jr. on a 351W in a Mav....heck, I had problems with the victor jr. on a 302 in the comet.....nothing a big hole in the hood wouldn't fix!!:D

mine would never fit with the Jr and the 393 or the 351w. Like previously mentioned, it was a tight fit with the 302 and victor Jr, and with the 351w, the 2" cowl was nearly touching the bowl vents on the Holley. Mine'll almost fit now with the Holley 1050 Dominator, but the motor is moved back 6".

My 302 with a super victor(no carb spacer) and a 3 inch cleaner sticks out about 1/2 inch.

The Super Victor will not fit without some mods, I know I have one.
The Victor will fit but you may need to rase the back of the hood about 1 inch.
I used the 13 inch Ford Motorsports air cleaner and put a K & N breather top on it. This will let you use the grabber hood. I sold my grabber hood and went back to my standard hood because I wanted a hood scoop and I COULDN"T cut the grabber hood.

    As always just my .02
